MARK WILLIAMS - TOO MUCH EVEN FOR TEA PARTY

CNN hosted Williams despite his long history of race-baiting and incendiary rhetoric (from MediaMatters July 20 2010) 

Williams post: "Colored People change minds about emancipation." Williams wrote a July 15blog post attacking the NAACP as racist for using "colored people" in its name. Williams' post portrayed blacks as lazy and NAACP leader Ben Jealous as supporting the repeal of civil-rights laws so that "massa" would again take care of blacks. Williams wrote, in the purported voice of Jealous: "As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!" Williams similarly promoted the idea in an appearance on the July 14 edition of CNN's The Situation Room. Williams' post was so incendiary that he was forced to remove it, and the National Tea Party Federation has since announced that Williams and the Tea Party Express have been expelled from the federation.

Williams: NAACP makes "more money off of race than any slave trader ever." The July 14edition of NPR's Morning Edition ran audio of Williams claiming that the NAACP is a "vile racist group" that makes "more money off of race than any slave trader ever." Williams added that the NAACP are "professional race-baiters."

Williams: Allah is a "monkey god." In a May post on his blog, Williams said that the mosque at New York's ground zero would be "for the worship of the terrorists' monkey-god and a 'cultural center' to propagandize for the extermination of all things not approved by their cult."

Williams: Obama is "Our Half White, Racist President." As TPMMuckraker's Zachary Rothreported, Williams "derided Barack Obama as 'our half white, racist president' in an email to colleagues." 

Williams on Obama: "Racist in Chief." On his blog, Williams called Obama the "Racist in Chief" and accused Obama of diverting "public attention from the Obamacare scam with just a hint of 'quit-pickin-on-the-brothahs' " by discussing Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.'s controversial arrest.

Birther Williams: "Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug turned anointed" Obama's "birth certificate has never been produced." Williams has repeatedly raised doubts about Obama's citizenship. Williams wrote in a blog post -- since removed -- that Obama's "actual birth certificate has never been produced however and is now the subject of a lawsuit to demand that it be produced" and that "our choice this November" is between Sen. John McCain and "the former Barry Soetoro, Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug turned anointed."

Williams images Obama being "used by his entire village population of girls as a dress up doll for playing mud hut madrassa house." Williams wrote in a June 25 post: "Just look at poor Barry Boy try to throw a baseball for chrissake.  He must have been used by his entire village population of girls as a dress up doll for playing mud hut madrassa house."

Williams: "21^st Century Nazis": "President-elect Hussein Soetoro" and Jimmy Carter. Williams' website previously listed "President-elect Hussein Soetoro" and Jimmy Carter, among others, under "21^st Century Nazis." 

Williams: Obama "engaging in nothing different than did mass murders like Stalin and Pol Pot." In an April 11 post on his blog, Williams writes that "B. Hussein Obama took power on the same kinds of hateful ideology and is engaging in nothing different than did mass murders like Stalin and Pol Pot.  The only thing missing is the forced death marches and gulags...  oh, but wait,  Obama's death panels and union provided goon squads will take care of that.  His goal is to feed the tapeworm until it overwhelms the host (you and me) and becomes powerful enough to keep him and his flying monkeys in power."

Williams posts pictures of Obama and Pelosi as terrorists. In March, Williams posted pictures of President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as terrorists.

Williams: President Carter is a "creepy little faggot." In a December 26, 2007, post, Williams referred to former President Jimmy Carter as a "creepy little faggot." On January 27, 2008, Williams wrote that members of a Vermont town shouldn't be called "retard CHUDs" but "genetically defective, circus freak, tiny cranium, hairy-arm-pitted female & faggot alleged male biological train wrecks who totally make the argument for forced Eugenics."

Williams: Obama "Tiger Woodsing" a "mistress" while raping the country. Williams rehashed an old, evidence-free rumor about President Obama in a May 1 blog post headlined, "Meet Vera Baker, President Obama's Mistress." Williams wrote as a photo caption: "Vera Barker, Tiger Woodsing Barack Obama, possible expert on Lincoln Bedroom ceiling." Williams added that the rumors that the two were "banging" "go back a way" but the country "was slipped a roofie when Obama was sliding into its pants so if your memory is groggy its okay."

Williams: Some members of Congress are "apparently brushing up" on Mein Kampf to try to criminalize dissent. During the March 25 edition of Fox Business' Happy Hour, Williams compared some members of Congress to Nazis while discussing a Tea Party rally on Capitol Hill.

Williams repeatedly claims Obama wants "death panels," links to Nazi experiments. On his blog, Williams has falsely asserted that health care legislation would have a "death panel." Williams also linked "Obama's death panels" to Nazis in an August 15, 2009, post (since removed).

Williams: "[I]f we vote Democrat, that just hastens the day we disappear in a nuclear holocaust." In 2006, Williams said that "people have made up their minds ... that if we vote Democrat, that just hastens the day we disappear in a nuclear holocaust." [MSNBC's Tucker, 9/26/06]

Williams blamed Democrats for ruining "every military advance we have made" in Iraq.Williams asserted that "every military advance we have made" in Iraq "has been ruined, one way or another, by some fat-mouthed congressman, usually a Democrat, opening his mouth on Capitol Hill."

Williams called Nancy Pelosi, "Nancy Botox." During an appearance on MSNBC's Hardball in August 2007, Williams said, presumably referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Iraq: " 'Nancy Botox' is out there saying, you know, 'We're leaving! We're running! We're gonna go away!' "

Williams calls female CNN reporter, "CNN Barbie Doll." In an April 15, 2009, post on his blog, Williams wrote of former CNN reporter Susan Roesgen: "CNN Barbie Doll Attacks Tea Parties, gets an education, doesn't like what she learns so story makes the Tea Baggers into thugs. It's not News, it's CNN."

Teams of Physicists Closing in on the ‘God Particle’

A thousand physicists working at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Ill., reported in Paris on Monday that they had not found the “God particle,” yet. But they are beginning to figure out where it is not.

Its mass — in the units preferred by physicists — is not in the range between 158 billion and 175 billion electron volts, according to a talk by Ben Kilminster of Fermilab at the International Conference on High Energy Physics in Paris.

And so the most intensive particle hunt in the history of physics goes on.

Over the last decade physicists working on two separate experiments at Fermilab have combed the debris from a thousand trillion (1 with 15 zeros) collisions of protons and anti-protons looking for signs of the Higgs boson, which is said to be responsible for imbuing some other elementary particles with mass. Rumors fanned by a blogger that the Higgs, dubbed the “God particle,” by former Fermilab director Leon Lederman in a book of the same name, had been detected reached all the way to Gawker last week and focused attention on the Paris conference, which also featured a speech by President Nicolas Sarkozy of France. 

[MY QUESTION - IF THOUSANDS OF PHYSICISTS ARE EXPERT AT "COMBING DEBRIS" CAN'T A FEW OF THEM BE DIVERTED TO THE GULF OF MEXICO? NOT ALL, BUT JUST A FEW?]

The new results, combining the data from two separate Fermi experiments, DZero and C.D.F., narrow the range in which the Higgs, if it exists, must be hiding. Physicists had previously concluded that it must lie somewhere between 115 billion and 200 billion electron volts. By comparison a proton, the anchor of ordinary matter, weighs in at about a billion electron volts.

A new competitor is about to enter the hunt. Physicists from CERN’s Large Hadron Collider near Geneva, the most powerful accelerator in the world, announced that their machine, which started operating at half power in March, with 3.5 trillion electron volt protons, had rediscovered all of particle physics, most recently the top quark, and thus the table was set for it begin to look for new physics as well as the Higgs. The new collider has registered about 1.5 billion collisions, but with more energy at its disposal it hopes to catch up to Fermilab in a year or so.

THE ENTITLEMENT BIRD DENOUNCES ENTITLEMENTS

In a recent column in the Baltimore Sun (“Baltimore Can’t Live with This Living Wage Bill” July 20, 2010, Sun, p. 13) Marta H. Mossburg is critical of a proposal before the Baltimore City Council to raise the city minimum wage to a “living wage.”  

Mossburg announces that this bill, if passed, will function “like recent income and other tax hikes” which are “no different.” 


Mossburg denounces the so called “entitlement culture” which, she says, has “blatantly failed to provide a rich thriving city.”

This Sun columnist has no qualifications as an economist. Her background is in journalism. Yet she feels an entitlement, despite a lack of qualifications, to discuss the economic factors that the mayor and city council of Baltimore must contend with on a daily basis.

Is there such a think as a Right Wing Entitlement? Yes indeed. 


Mossburg is affiliated with not one but two right wing non-profits, with libertarian tendencies, whose funding sources and accolades include the Cato Institute, the Milton and Rose D. Friedman Foundation, and - no surprise here - Robert Ehrlich, when he was governor. 

If Mossburg does not use the space give to her by the Sun to denounce “tired liberal ideas that have not worked” she would lose her extreme Right wing perch. 

Right wing non-profits, that require no actual economics credentials of their "experts," fund two separate perches for this entitlement bird to chirp libertarian and right wing rhetoric  – as if eight years of budget-busting Bush and four years of me-too Ehrlich offer a road map for Baltimore City. No thanks.

The election for governor is hardly 90 days away. 


Now is the moment for candidates to make the broadest appeal they can, while also working their loyal base.


So naturally, Robert Ehrlich has picked a running mate, whose husband either overuses or underthinks the send button on his e-mail.


This guy is reported in the media to have sent out a note explaining that a former employee's business success was due to minority set-aside programs. 


This guy also - it is alleged - sends out anonymous notes from an e-mail address he decided to call: 


sissy12pants@aol.com. 


He denies the sissy pants gambit but not the minority set-aside comment - directed at a Black man.

Why 'o why do GOP candidates so often get fouled up in quasi-racial tantrums? 

They have had decades to break themselves of this habit but they just can't seem to stay away from this stuff. 

I registered Republican at age 18; it took me about 10 days to see the long-term problem with that. 

HERESY, SCHISM, PEDOPHILIA, THE ORDINATION OF WOMEN - ALL GRAVE OFFENSES

On July 16, 2010, the Vatican announced new rules directing how dioceses around the world are to respond to priestly sex abuse of children. The statute of limitations of the Catholic Church was extended from 10 to 20 years, from the 18th birthday of the victim. 


Possession of child pornography and the abuse of disabled adults were added to the list of offenses that could get a priest reported to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.


At the same time,  an attempt to ordain a woman to the priesthood was elevated in seriousness to the same category as heresy, schism, pedophilia - a most grave crime.

The new rules do not hold bishops accountable for pedophilia among priests under their charge, nor do the revised rules require reporting of sex abuse accusations to civil authorities.

BishopAccountability.org is not impressed with the revisions in the Church's rules, stating that the rules “amount to administrative tinkering of a secretive internal process.” 


Pope Benedict, the group said, "could direct bishops to report every allegation of child sexual abuse to the police, regardless of whether civil law requires them to do so. He could threaten punishment of any bishop or church official who enables or fails to stop a child-molesting priest.” 


“It’s disturbing that the new rules merely will extend the statutes of limitations rather than eliminate them altogether.”

TEA PARTY SPOKESMAN ON CNN: "Racists have their own movement. It's called the NAACP."

On Tuesday, July 13, 2010, the Convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People passed a resolution that condemns the Tea Party movement, for its toleration of racism among its adherents. 


The next day, on CNN, a spokesman for the Tea Partyers responded, saying, "Racists have their own movement. It's called the NAACP." 


Invited to make clear that racists are not welcome in the Tea Party movement, spokesman Mark Williams, instead, said, NAACP members are  "a bunch of old fossils looking to make a buck off skin color."

As a life member of the NAACP, I have somehow missed out. Checking my tax returns, I have discovered that I have failed to make a cent off skin color. 


Anyhow, I will watch media outlets today to see if other Tea Party reps jump to microphones to distance themselves from the comments of their associate, Mark Williams. 


Hopefully, Mr Williams himself can expand on his comments and explain how someone like me ought to be making "a buck off skin color."
